University of Montana Advocates

The UM Advocates are an ASUM student group dedicated to the promotion of the University of Montana. We do this by serving as all-around campus ambassadors, student peer mentors, Big Sky Experience leaders, and by embodying the Griz spirit in our everyday lives. We are a group of diverse students who represent a wide breadth of academic majors, personal interests, and beliefs. Our goal is to make everyone, from new students to alumni, feel welcomed and part of the Griz Family...while having fun doin' it!

Throughout my time as Lead Promotions Manager our team produced Graphics, Reels, and Still photography to promote our student organization. Our Main goals were to provide information on how Advocates are a student resource and recruitment to expand our member population. My team and I accomplished this by advertising our campus events and showcasing how every advocate is professional and unique while following popular trends.

one of my teams biggest goals was to increase our following by 600 in one week. This was our week of The Big Sky Experience, the largest event Advocates put on. This week we move in 1,200 new students and integrate them to campus and Missoula. We achieved this goal and surpassing 2,000 followers in the first week of the school year. For being a student organization this was a tremendous goal for us to hit. Through out the rest of the school year our following increased by 3%-5% each month.

Increase in Viewership

This past spring semester of 2026 our views and interactions reached more to non followers than our current. Our overall interactions for the semester were 7,454 and total views being 353,632. Comparing to fall semester of 2025 our viewership increased by 38.6%
